Graves Into Gardens

A story of love, loss, hope, and laughter

When Tara Claassens was thirty years old, her dreams of being a wife finally came true. She, and her new husband, both felt blessed and grateful for how their lives had turned out, and excited for the future.

Fast forward twenty-four hours after their wedding ceremony, the groom had passed away, and Tara was now a widow. Over five years and an intention to heal through journaling, retreating, Facebook posting, reading and traveling – she undertook the most incredible adventure in healing, evolving, growing and becoming. This beautifully heartbreaking story takes you on a journey of grief, loss and everything in between. Through both laughter and tears, often simultaneously, Tara invites you on a path to truly understand the blessing of living each day as if it were your last.

“Writing from her heart with every word, Tara takes you on a journey where you are laughing one moment, and shedding tears the next. Drawing you into her story from the very first chapter, you are compelled to keep reading. Tara shares with honesty and deep transparency and the reader is left in no doubt that whilst life can be incredibly challenging, there is always hope that God walks every step with you. You are not alone and there is hope just around the corner.”
